The construction of a website has a series of stages. Sometimes very structured, sometimes more like a development that is continuously adjusted.
A normal working order will be something like:
Together we make an inventory of needs. Important questions are:
What is the function of the site?
▪ Who (within your organisation) will be responsible for the content of the website?
▪ How will the site be an integral part of business?
▪ What is your budget, and how does this relate to your wishes?
Based on this survey, I suggest a functional design for the site. On that basis, you get a first estimate of the costs.
Your wishes will be translated into a graphic design that matches your existing corporate identity. If you do not yet have a corporate identity, one of the designers in my network can provide one if needed. After approval of the draft starts I start construction the website.
Right after the installation of WordPress and the necessary plugins, you can start right away with adding content. I translate the graphic design into the necessary templates for WordPress.
Because you can follow the construction of the site from the beginning you will have the possibility to demand certain adaptations of the design and/or functions during the construction. And the content will be your content and as such have a better feel of the site as a whole.
After a last test round, the final adjustments and your approval the site can go online.
WordPress and the plugins have regular updates for bug fixes and security reasons. I will do these updates whenever needed. This usually doesn’t take more than two hours a year.
